Rene's Bouquets: A Guide to Euro-Style Hand-Tied Bouquets
I have often heard the comment that chrysanthemums are a very old fashioned flower, and primarily make people envision funeral wreaths. Although as mum growers, we would like to encourage the continued use of mums in large sympathy arrangements, I've long wished to find a way for florists to also see chrysanthemums in a new light.
When the opportunity arose to be a grower sponsor for floral designer, Rene Van Rem's first book, A Guide to Euro-Style Hand-Tied Bouquets, I was very excited to put our flowers in his hands and see what he would do. In fact, I was so excited about his book, that I decided that it was time for Yamashita Flower Farm to have a website. Having a website was something I'd considered having for a long time, but it was this sponsorship that led me to finally take action. I hope that these webpages and articles will provide me the opportunity to show you our farm, and allow me to share some of our collective feelings about growing, and also share with you our appreciation for these flowers.
